How to choose PPR pipes and fittings
A KOMPLUS guide to checking pipe diameter, PN designation, connection dimensions and product codes before ordering.
Start with the requirements of the installation. Pipe diameter, operating conditions and the connected components need to be considered together. A product name or a similar appearance does not establish compatibility.
Check the diameter and connection type
Record dimensions with their units. If a fitting has several dimensions, identify the connection end represented by each one. The pipe side and thread side may use different units; do not treat them as interchangeable measurements.
Choosing between PN16 and PN20
The PN designation forms part of a pipe's pressure classification. Selection should not be based simply on the larger number. Review the intended temperature, pressure and application against the product's technical documentation.

Match the fitting to the connection
- Pipe Coupling: joining pipes in line.
- 90° Elbow: changing direction.
- Equal Tee: forming a branch.
- Reducing Coupling: changing diameter.
- Female-Threaded Adapter: connecting to matching threaded equipment.
